I recently hired Paul, an exceptional handyman, to assemble my TV bed, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. His attention to detail was outstanding, ensuring a neat and perfect assembly. What truly impressed me was his commitment to sustainability – not only did he expertly pack all the waste, but he also sorted it for recycling. Paul is a true professional who exceeded my expectations!

Paul came to my rescue at short notice to assemble 2 cabinets for me and he also went out of his way to help correct problems with another chest of drawers I had assembled incorrectly myself. Paul was delightful and helpful and extremely good at putting furniture together. I will definitely call him for all my future DIY jobs

Don't use IKEA's TaskBunny - use Flat Pack Charlie!!!

Having been messed around by IKEA’s recommended “Task Rabbit” building services, my wife found his Facebook site. A quick message to confirm what was being built and a date time when Paul replied “did we know what we had ordered was a slim wardrobe”. Confirmed with him yes we were aware.
On the day he arrived and went straight to work, and the man is a genius, like a Michelangelo using the medium of flatpack furniture !! How he can build things on his own and the speed !! I’d still be doing it now.
He gave us advice on different ways to secure it to the wall, and to switch the doors/sitting the wardrobe - all something I had no idea !!
All the packaging was operated and folded up into separate piles ready for recycling.
In all great value for money, much cheaper than the Task Bunny or divorce that would have come if I’d attempted to have done it myself !!

Contacted this business via their online quote request and received a response within 24 hours. Paul came to reassemble a wardrobe that had had to be disassembled due to a house move. He arrived promptly after texting me to provide an ETA.

Such a pleasant and polite individual, I shall definitely be using his services in the New Year to assemble a few `flat-pack` furniture items. I have no hesitation in

Alleviate any worries about flatpack furniture - From the first point of their site it is so simple to follow and it has a part where you can ask questions or make points about what you wish. The Fitting date and time was perfect as it was the next day from the delivery of the 8 items. The Quote given was very competitive against quotes from elsewhere. To be honest i would not bother asking any others to give me a quote from now on as I found "flatpackcharlie" totally trustworthy, competitive, and worked well without rushing and LISTENED to some concerns which Paul allied any fears and also went through exactly where I wanted the shelves which I had wanted in specific heights from each other. Paul also showed how if i changed my mind between 2 shelf heights how to change without any problem. As we had spoken and he had put them in the correct place I did not have to touch anything. The actual high cabinet was put exactly where I required it and Paul made sure it was level before securing the high cabinet correctly by drilling and pluging where required. Paul left my living room in spotless condition. I would recommend this company to alleviate any worries about flatpack furniture. Thank you and well done.

Paul was brilliant and I would highly recommend him. He did a brilliant job of building two large wardrobes for me and was great at conveying the various interior options to me that I hadn’t even considered, making them more functional than they would have been. He also as very respectful of my house and not leaving a mess behind, wore overshoes and bagged up all the packaging from the wardrobes for easy disposal. He was a lovely guy and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him!

Great service at a good price! - Really impressed with Flat Pack Charlie. I received a quote back the same day I requested one and he managed to book me in within the week. Paul communicated with me on the day to give me notice as to when he would arrive so I could ensure I would be home. When Paul arrived he was really friendly and professional. He got to work straightaway and within 2-3hrs Paul had put together 4 pieces of dressing room furniture for me and made sure that they were positioned where I wanted them in the room. Paul was so efficient at his job, a triple wardrobe with 2 inner sets of drawers 2 bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers from Arthauss in Oak. Done in 5 hours - amazing and a lovely chap. Explained everything as he was going and ensured I had rails etc exactly as I wanted them. Came with all tools for the job and knew this furniture well as I’m sure he does other brands. Very pleased. Would definitely recommend this man for the job.

Paul arrived on time and immediately changed from his shoes into slippers. We had 8 IKEA bookcases and an 8 drawer chest of drawers to assemble,Paul was familiar with the furniture and set too straight away. I discovered Paul by the word of mouth. He was busy and we fixed an appointment . I requested him for an early appointment if someone cancels. And Voila ! I received a message yesterday on whether I was willing to get the stuff assembled today, instead of 10 days later. Paul arrived on time with all his tools. I had a large wardrobe, chest of drawers and a dining table/chair set for assembly. He did his work very meticulously and with patience . He gave lots to attention to the fine tuning and balancing of doors etc of the wardrobe. Needless to say , all the rubbish was neatly separated as recyclable and otherwise. He is very pleasant to talk to and very well behaved. We engaged in some general conversations too. I am happy to recommend him and will engage his services soon for the next lot of furniture that I am due to purchase over the coming weeks.

Paul is absolutely the best person to do your IKEA wardrobes. He did our 3 huge PAX systems remarkably stunning. Paul is very polite professional , who gives you ideas and information. He has done kids desks , book shelves, bedframes and headboards ( all from IKEA) . I don't know how we should have achieved this without Paul He is very calm, neat, very well organized, timekeeping - In short Paul is the guy you are looking for. Honestly can’t recommend this guy enough. We have been doing a self build for a number of months now and have had to deal with a variety of tradesman. I was recommended to flat pack Charlie by our decorators and subsequently requested a quote. I’ve not dealt with anybody as professional and efficient as Paul . Left the site only when the job was done and made sure things were impeccably clean and tidy before he left. I wish all tradesman had been this professional in their work during our build.

Great service. I wasn't expecting him to be so fast putting things together. It all went really smoothly. He put together 2 ikea chests of drawers, 2 small and 2 large. I'd definitely recommend him and will use his services again if I have more flatpack furniture. It certainly saves the hassle of doing it yourself or getting someone else in who claims to be good at flat pack assembly but actually takes ages. This guy is quick, reliable and he knows what he's doing.

We had a new IKEA wardrobe which needed to be put together and after emailing the FlatPackCharlie website I received a prompt response amd a date was arranged. He should be called the flat pack god! We’ve had Paul to put sliding wardrobes up in our previous house a couple of years ago and he came last week to dismantle them ready for our move. I'M NEVER BUILDING FLAT PACK AGAIN!!! I was dreading building 6 pieces of furniture for my children’s rooms. Thankfully my friend spotted a van with Flat Pack Charlie written on the side. Having just moved house we had several items of flat pack furniture that needed putting together. I contacted Paul after looking at the reviews and i can say they were accurate, Paul was on time and worked quickly to assemble the items. We had a further item delivered after he had left and he returned a couple of days later to do that as well. I will now always go to Paul for flat packs and would advise anyone else to do the same.

Stress Buster!...

I was very impressed with the service from Paul at Flat Pack Charlie. Within a few hours he had built and attached a sliding wardrobe to the wall. He also tidies up afterwards. Would highly recommend.

After attempting to dismantle and rebuild our wardrobe during a house move we struggled to get our sliding doors working properly, Paul was like a wardrobe superhero! He fixed our wardrobe within half an hour and even made efforts to fix some of the small bits of accidental damage encountered during the move. He arrived promptly and I noticed he wore shore coverings to save our floors and carpets! Absolutely a job well done, the wardrobe is as good as new, I couldn’t recommend flat Flatpack Charlie enough.

So please with the work carried out. Needed a 3 door wardrobe with built in drawers building which I would never have managed. Took Paul an hour and a half. He was professional, respectful and I really appreciated his attention to detail, providing his own protective shoe covers and even folding down the boxes so they could be easily recycled. These little details show that he takes pride in his work and I happily recommend him to everyone.

Paul, (Flat Pack Charlie) was very professional from my first contact with him. He was prompt, hard working and very tidy. He knows his job. With one or two minor problems in fitting it all in the room, he offered solutions and consulted at every stage to ensure it was exactly what we wanted. If only the old house had a level floor, it would have made his job easier, but no worries, it was not a problem to Paul! I’m so impressed, Paul did a great job putting together three Ikea chests of drawers, he even noticed that a set of drawers we thought were broken had been assembled wrongly so he fixed it. I would recommend him to repair any flat pack furniture that you think might have seen better days.
He kept the recyclable rubbish separate and tidied up after himself. A thoroughly wonderful service that I can’t recommend highly enough.

After hours of trying to assemble an IKEA sliding door wardrobe, we finally gave in and looked for help. I ordered a small double ottoman bed, no way was I going to attempt that. I Googled Flat Pack Charlie Lincoln as I remembered serving a man with a t-shirt on and asking did he build flatpack for a living, as I thought that was a good idea. Anyway Paul was booked, he arrived on time, came in put his over shoes on (thank you) and I showed him the boxes and he set to it. The set was missing a screw so he found a near match in his van (very grateful for that) and finished the job. He showed me how to open the bed and close it safely. The paperwork was left out, the rubbish in a bin bag and the cardboard flattened and folded. He was worth every penny and made what could have been an emotional/painful experience look easy. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends. Thank you

I cannot speak more highly of Flat Pack Charlie. Paul arrived on time, discussed the work to be done (2 x Ikea, 3 door wardrobes) and quietly got on with the job, completing it swiftly. When it came to organising the wardrobe innards, he even suggested I tested some of my hanging clothes in the wardrobe to get the right height for the hanging rail. I didn't realise that the wardrobe also came with some 'baskets' but this addition wasn't a problem to Paul. His knowledge saved me considerable time and effort. Paul and Joanne came to our rescue after our baby daughter arrived 7 weeks early catching us off guard and extremely unorganised. We had a large order of storage units to put together, some of which needed hanging on the wall. Paul arrived on time and started work straight away. This service should be considered as another emergency service Absolutely brilliant. Furniture well put together. Dont shy away from flat pack, no need to get a divorce and no need for the usual frustrations of flat pack, also no trying to make sense of the instructions, it's all done for you with reasonable expense.

I am very quick to recommend this company for flat-pack assembly work having just used them for 2 days worth of IKEA furniture erection upon moving into a new home. They professionally rose to, and conquered, a few challenges following some dimension issues (not of their doing) and always maintained a dialogue with us the customer when any ambiguity arose or when choices could be made, with some very sound recommendations borne out of their considerable experience. Definitely not a rushed job, good value for money and very accommodating.

Had a 3 door 4 drawer wardrobe assembled today by Flat Pack Charlie. The service was excellent from the initial enquiry to the fully assembled article. Paul phoned to confirm his arrival time, and went to work straight away. It would have taken me several hours and need help of another adult but Paul had it all sorted in about 1.5 hours. It is straight, all the doors align and the drawers open smoothly. Thoroughly recommend.

Save yourself from a world of pain! So glad I used FPC to fit my wardrobes as he took half the time that I would have, plus of course: no frustration! It helps if you have the 'wingspan' of an albatross - these were big robes. Impeccable manners as well. Strongly recommended.
